Five different versions from 9 - 100 players! Ideal for a home or office party.
The portly gent who dresses in red won’t be going down any chimneys this year. He is dead - possibly murdered - yes, it’s scandalous but true. It happened just before the company Christmas party being held at Chatties Restaurant. Did someone not want him to be there? Was it revenge for an unwanted present from Santa last year? Or was it just old age catching up with him?
We’re here to find out the real juicy truth. The media are also here. But this time they aren’t just reporting what happened. They are suspects too. A really fun game for family or work colleagues. Throw a christmas party with a difference this year!
Here is an extract from the meet and mingle pack, for upto 100 players, explaining how to introduce the game.
“These are to be read out by the host to the whole group at the beginning of the party: Welcome to “Who Killed Santa?” As you know we have been invited here today for the office Christmas Party. Unfortunately, I have some sad news. Santa has been murdered. Just before this party was set to commence, he collapsed and died. Those of us who were here when this tragedy occurred are being considered suspects by the police who have also just arrived. I will introduce the suspects to you in a moment. I urge you to refrain from going near the body as we have to let the police do their job without interruption. You have all been asked to remain here for questioning by the police. You must tell as many people as you can what you know. If you find out interesting new information, you can also pass that on to the people you meet. We must all work together to help determine who is the villain in our midst. And you must do whatever you have been instructed to do. Don’t panic if you don’t get to talk to everyone. You will hear and see enough to help you work out who did it. You may want to jot down some notes on your clue page. When we do have some facts or evidence, we will read these to you.”

Read the free standard format host’s guide or the meet and mingle host’s guide.

Over 15 Guests (Adult theme recommended aged 18 and over)
Residents of the North Pole are accustomed to keeping secrets. They swear never to disclose the location of Santa’s Workshop, and they keep Santa’s identity anonymous.

A Santa Claus serves for a term. When he retires, he appoints his successor. Most retired Santas then leave the North Pole and travel the world with their spouses.

The current Santa showed no signs of retiring. In recent years, he bewildered the sweet Pole folk with what can only be described as “poor choices;” he even bordered on being bad-listed!

Somebody decided that enough was enough and laced his eggnog with poison at the Annual Christmas Eve party. His death comes as a guilty relief to most, but now there’s no Santa to deliver the gifts at midnight. The Pole Folk must discover the killer, in order to convince someone else to step up to be Santa and save Christmas!

For once, the North Pole has a secret that is too big to keep.

Here are some of the characters from the game:

Yule is an elf, and the head reindeer trainer. Yule speaks about little other than reindeers- he loves them dearly. To anybody that will listen, Yule is happy to share tips for most efficient aerodynamic antler design, diet to improve the sheen of a reindeer’s coat, how the reindeer games are really effective training exercises.

Mrs. Claus is the wife to Santa Claus. She is a gracious hostess, and always has freshly baked cookies coming out of the oven.

Holly is an Elf, and has recently been appointed the Director of Christmas Caroling at the North Pole. Holly is beautiful, sweet and articulate, and smarter than she is given credit for. She is willing to discuss caroling with anybody, but also has strong political opinions and enjoys a good debate.

The Abominable Snowman is Santa’s political nemesis. His job is to patrol the borders of the North Pole, keeping trespassors from discovering Santa’s Workshop. He is also a political activist, expressing concern that the office of Santa has no accountability, which is why the current Santa appears to be abusing his power.

Buy Christmas crimes kid’s murder mystery now $29.99

Bebe Bumbletree is hosting a Christmas party for all her friends and is determined for everything to be perfect. The eggnog has snowman-shaped ice cubes floating in it, she’s borrowed Christmas music from her parents’ CD collection, and she has even hung mistletoe in hopes of catching her secret crush, Barry Broadbarn, underneath.

She rented a Christmas movie for them all to watch and has bought and wrapped a gift for each of her guests, which she carefully placed under the tree.

Everything is perfectly planned – that is, until strange things start happening, things Bebe is not expecting, and certainly won’t stand for. Before the night is through, the Christmas Crimes will be solved!

A Christmas themed kid’s mystery party. Three mini-mysteries: The mystery of the headless snowman, the case of the toppled tree and the mystery of the missing presents.

Optional adult player and even the family pet can join in the fun!

The Characters

Bebe Bumbletree has been planning her Christmas party since the first snowflake fell. A bit obsessive, she has been running around, making preparations, hoping everything will be perfect.

She has a secret crush on Barry Broadbarn, who is attending the party and is hoping to catch him underr the mistletoe. Bebe is a bit shrill, wants everything to be perfect and insists her guests use coasters.

She loved Christmas so much that she has been wandering around humming since December 1st.

Willy Wilson is very eccentric. At school, he’s the class clown. Willy is determined to make the party, and any situation, fun – at least, his idea of fun. Willy is a true practical joker, having played tricks on every person attending the party. He also likes magic tricks, especially card tricks.
Harvest Gold is a gentle girl who believes in protecting the environment and saving dolphins from tuna nets. She adores all things cute, is a strict vegetarian, and believes any conflict can be resolved with a sing-along.

Her parents don’t believe in celebrating Christmas, claiming it has lost its meaning and is far too commercial these days. Harvest regrets this; she loves Christmas and wishes she could have a Christmas of her own.

Her parents almost didn’t let her come to the party because of their strong views, but Harvest begged them and they finally gave in.

Sandy Scaleyskin is very popular, but is a mean girl who likes to put people down.

She doesn’t like Bebe, and hangs out with a completely different group of people. Even though Sandy knows that Bebe only invited her out of desperation to be popular, she still agreed to attend.

Fluffy can be played by a real live pet – a cat or dog, or can be substituted with a stuffed animal if you don’t have a pet.

Fluffy can’t help but get excited about parties; the yummy cookies fed to him under the table, the shiny tinsel that is great to chew on – what’s not to like?

It’s time for the annual Christmas Party for the law firm Lie, Cheat and Steal, a powerhouse law firm with influential ties to business, government and politics.

This party is one that everyone is just dying to attend. Quite literally that is. Mr. A. Big Scam, who was the next in line to become Partner in the firm, was found stuffed up his chimney in the Santa suit he was going to wear to the party!

Someone leaked a statement to the press stating that Mr. Lie will be announcing his retirement and replacement at the party tonight. With Mr. Scam dead who will be the one to get this lofty and very sought after partnership?

Characters

Here are a list of the characters in the game. If you want to check out more download a sneak preview of the game script (pdf).

Will Lie - 58 - Senior Partner in the firm of Lie, Cheat & Steal. Rumor has it that he is getting ready to announce his retirement and his replacement at the Christmas Party.

Constance Cheat - 28 - Constance made full partner in the firm 2 years ago. Speculation runs rampant on how she achieved that feat. Was she sleeping with one of the senior partners? Maybe she blackmailed the partners? When it was announced that she was coming on board as a full partner, Mr. Lie stated that she was sought after because of her large, influential clientele. That may be true, her father is Senator Earl E. Bird. Constance is married to a younger man named Igotta. She refers to him as her boy toy.

Igotta Cheat - 22 - Constance Cheats husband. Last Christmas Constance went to France on Holiday and came back married to him. Igotta gets upset when Constance calls him her boy toy, but she just laughs it off. His father is one of 3 top Genetic Scientists who mysteriously disappeared 3 months ago.

Seymour Steal - 49 - Seymour has been a partner with the firm for almost 16 years. He was a staunch family man until a few years ago when he hit mid life crisis. He bought a red convertible, rented a bachelor pad, starting hanging out in bars, having affairs. He was still surprised when his wife Enid A. Drink left and divorced him.

Enid A. Drink - 38 - Ex-wife to partner Seymour Steal. Enid was a dutiful housewife until her hubby hit mid-life crisis. She refers to her ex as The Toad. Enid likes a little nip now and then. Since her divorce it has been rumored that she has been collecting Voodoo Relics. Some say she even has a 6′ snake!

Shamus Steal - 29 - Son of Seymour Steal. Shamus was going to college to become a lawyer when his dad wigged out. After his mother and father divorced, Shamus changed from corporate law to representing environmentalists & animal rights activists. Usually against his fathers clients.

Inspector P. Ness - The Inspector is here to investigate the death of Mr. A. Big Scam who was found murdered 2 days ago, wearing a Santa suit and stuffed up his chimney.

Ben DeToy - 33 - It is rumored that Ben may be the next in line to become partner, now that Mr. Scam is dead. He is a brilliant lawyer, but has a habit of stepping on toes. He is a playboy through and through. His good looks and numerous affairs are regularly discussed around the water cooler.

Here are some of the characters from the script:

King Harald lived a rich life. He owned twelve farms which were well run by the many slaves in his service. This left him free to go riding everyday, swim in the fjords in fine weather and leave each summer with his knights, his Jarls, for the raids on the Scottish coast. He was an educated man. He knew the art of runes, the songs of birds, the names of plants and trees and was skilled at board games. He was well respected. His sword, “Leg-Biter”, was a symbol of his wealth and success; it was his most prized possession.

Queen Hildegaard spends her days looking at her jewels and standing about for fittings for new dresses. Hildegard loved the cloth Harald brought her from the lands he visited. He always made sure to find her the very best of silks and finely woven linen.

Lars Haraldsen, son to King Harald, never really knew his father. He was given away to his uncle, Erlend, as a foster child when he was five years old. While this is Viking tradition, Lars never understood why his father, who had no other children, did not wish to raise him, himself. Now, fifteen years old, he finds himself very much alone.
